Lara and Kundu form one continuous beach strip on the eastern edge of Antalya. Lara, nearer the city, is known for its long sandy beach and the Lower Düden Waterfall, which drops straight off the cliffs into the sea. Further east, Kundu is lined with large all-inclusive resorts — several of them landmarks in their own right, from a Kremlin-style palace to a Topkapı replica — with big shopping centres a short drive away.
Antalya Airport to Lara & Kundu: the drive
This is the closest beach area to Antalya Airport. The drive runs south from the terminals through the eastern suburbs, with no mountain roads or long highway stretches, so it is a short, easy ride even after a late-night landing. Traffic only builds on the city side of Lara at evening rush hour.
